Ron Paul on Trash TV, 1988: Pt. 1
Ron Paul gets into shouting match w/ Lisa Sliwa and MD's lamers. Appearing w/ Ron Paul is the wildly dressed Otto von Ruggins and Professor John Flynn.

I've seen this before, but I bet many haven't. It's an excellent link. Good job.

Ron Paul truly is intrepid, then and now. As a bonus, he's more in control this time around, which is great. If only he would be a more powerful speaker. I mean, his ideas are great; but sometimes he comes off as shrill. Fortunately, he keeps improving.

Blast from the past. MD Jr. was fun to watch for a while but quickly became annoying. The same cast of characters, Rv. Sharpton, Curtis Sliwa, etc. Ron Paul as a guest was a treat.

Back to Paul's subject matter, I'm afraid that too many people are so busy riding their high moral horse that they can't logically think through the legalization of drugs. I'd not become an addict if available at a local dope store but I'd sure benefit by the lowering of crime rate, lessening of taxes, minimizing the impact of overcrowding of prisons and many other positive likely consequences.

Now, Ron Paul for President? I think it was Bryan who said it here first: Too bad he's a pro-life guy. That seals his fate as far as my vote goes.

Yes, he's Pro-life but he's against the Federal Government writing laws on the subject.

Which means he's for the States to set their own laws on the subject of for or against.

Doesn't mean to me that I want all those folks from Kansas coming to New York for an abortion. That would just concentrate the clinic bombers in my neck of the woods. No thanks.

Morton Downey's program always looks like a post-apocolyptic public access show from an Alan Moore comic. A place where life is cheap.

The US will never legalize drugs. Just look at the record numbers of Americans in prison on drug "crimes." Add those numbers to the movement under the Republicans to privatize our prison system to make them profit-producing enterprises

There's simply way too much money to be made in having drugs illegal and privatized prisons full - all paid by our tax dollars.

Not to mention the CIA sale and use of cocaine as a bargaining tool world-wide.

Also, I wouldn't let a Presidential candidate's position on pro-life or pro-choice sway your opinion. How long has this been an issue with *zero* legislative change? 20+ years?

Not that I'm voting for Paul. But per that crazy (yet kinda hot) chick with the rasberry beret, I wouldn't mind seeing Ron as the President of Disneyland... :)
