Funny, I never hear about this in the news I always have to find out about it here or on other video sites. God bless the internets freedom and dam the corporate media for being bought out.

Yeah, the Internet is almost too good to be true, isn't it? Somewhen in the future, our children will ask us 'What did you do when there was Internet?' Proudly, you may answer, 'I used to be a Milk & Cookier.' Then all children fell silent, in awe ... and gazed at the Big Brother Screens on the walls, waiting for the government men to come 'round.

Frightening. Mostly on the lack of coverage by any news org. The 1967 march on the Pentagon is seen as the watershed incident in the swaying of public opinion against the war in Viet Nam.
Of course, there is the right to peaceably assemble in protest and creating a road blockade isn't exactly included as an act in The Bill of Rights.

oh ya they are making a big difference. they should all get jobs and vote and make a real difference. instead of wasting everyones time by protesting something they know little about exept what they are fed my the media. They are uneducated sheep. I hope they all got arrested and had their pot taken away. I hate dirty hippies.

This makes me want to eat a steak.
"Every time I eat a steak, a hippie's hackysack falls down a gutter."
This is not a civilized or sophisticated protest. This is a gathering of instigators who misunderstand the notion of revolution, with no understanding how complex the big picture really is.
I'm all for protest and exposés, but come on people...of course they were going to get taken down for that.

I hate this war. I have since the night in 2003 when I heard Bush's ultimatum to Sadam. I shivered to think my commander in chief might actually be ignoring what the major experts were saying at that time--to include the weapons inspectors; there were no WMD's in Iraq. Am I a hippie? Maybe. But eight years in the Army, and with scores of friends in danger of getting hurt or dying in this unjust war might give me the right to be a hippie. That being said, these guys in this video are just punks. It's not newsworthy simply because they're not accomplishing anything but a mockery of real protest. At best, they're causing a minor annoyance to the people of that town. At worst, they're denying supplies to the service members who are over there. My vote? Get the soldiers and marines out of there. But while they're there, give them everything they need and want. In the mean time, read Letter from the Birmingham Jail by MLK Jr, and learn the right way to use civil disobedience.
