BTW, if you've not seen the film, it's a must. Gritty, beautiful and epic.

You're right, ecstasy of the gold is a great song. Unfortunately this is not it. This is the main theme for the movie. Ecstasy of the gold is played later in the movie when they are in the graveyard. One of the best scenes in a movie ever.

I like the Trio better (the final song), and I also like the theme from a fistfull of dollars -- the one with the steady guitar baseline and the trumpet. It's great driving music, Ennio Morricone must have been a teenager at heart.
