Cafferty: Veterans Can't Get Health Care
1.8 million veterans can't get health care and Jack Cafferty finds this shameful.

Re: Cafferty: Veterans Can't Get Health Care
I'm a disabled Iraq War Vet who works 40 hours a week but doesn't get healthcare through my employer. I can see the VA specifically for my major injury, but I can't afford complete healthcare on my middle-class salary.

So I'd take universal healthcare/Hilarycare any time, anywhere. No hesitation. Any healthcare's better than none at all.

And heck, we already have Socialized Healthcare that you and I pay for.

It's the healthcare that we as taxpayers provide to the wealthy Senators and Representatives.

We pay taxes that allow them to have free socialized healthcare - only to have these same recipients of our free healthcare vote against using those same taxes to provide the same benefits to the rest of us.

Until Vets like me get covered - and, heck, until everyone who wants gets covered - we need to call our Senators and Reps and tell 'em that they shouldn't get free tax-supported socialized healthcare until all who want it get it, too. And we'll vote on this platform going forward. Period.

Watch out, you don't want Rush Limbaugh calling you a phony veteran.

Seems to me that as the only industrialized nation on this planet without universal healthcare coverage, it's just one more area where the extreme right acts as if they're right and the rest of the world is wrong.

Good luck obtaining coverage. I got lucky and finally (after six years) hooked up with a large employer once again that provides a better than average plan at lower than average rates.

the fact that ANYONE has to PAY MONEY for healthcare in America is retarded.
