this should counteract the negative reputation the last clip of her gave.

she's a great comedian

She's got good bits, but she has no idea of pacing. Maybe the audience was laughing harder than I can hear in this clip, but she spent most of her time just standing there waiting on more laughter than there was.

Re: Margaret Cho: These Christian Groups
She talks about the anti-gay thing and i'd have to agree with her on that, but i know these repulican groups only think of two guys getting at it. I bet many a male republican has watched some lesbian porn in their day

Re: Margaret Cho: These Christian Groups
I've just noticed in the past few years that comedians are more political than funny. They'll have a few tidbits in there but almost the whole act is about making some political point. Sometimes it's funny, but really I came to get a laugh, not watch another version of the Daily Show. DS rocks on comedy and politics, most standups dont.

Comics being political, on stage or off, isn't new. Carlin took a case to the Supreme Court in '78.

weak. sarcasm is a better approach to political humor. Just look at steven colbert. His career is just one big sarcastic joke.

Re: Margaret Cho: These Christian Groups
Was this even supposed to be funny? Because it wasn't.

You'll notice that during her homo-phobe rant, she said "WE wouldn't live in trailer parks." Yeah, we know you're gay Margaret and we don't care.

This skank is a no-talent hack who can only muster a few laughs from the Liberal idiots who think she's saying something relevant.

And Christian-bashing is not cool, even though every comedian seems to think it is. I hope she burns in hell, because she deserves it.
