Re: Machete
"...but they soon realized, they just fucked with the wrong mexican!" LOL!

I've been waiting for months for Grindhouse to open in my little corner of the world, then when it flopped I realized that wasn't gonna happen. Until it comes out on DVD, these clips will see me through. Thanks for finding and posting, IAmDeK.

Re: Machete
Did anyone else noticed they misspelled "preview" ?

Re: Machete
I thought so until I googled it. Both are acceptable spellings. Come on man... you gotta google shit like that. Since the advent of search engines, I always take that extra two seconds before correcting someone else's spelling or grammar.

Did anyone notice that the names and characters were right out of Spy Kids?

Re: Machete
according to an entertainment magazine I read, they are releasing the film around December 07/January 08. I thought it was just a fake trailer as well....but apparently not.

Re: Machete
It is a fake film trailer.

If indeed they do make a film of it then the thought came after the trailer...well perhaps not thought but action most certainly did.

Quote:

I [Rodriguez] wrote that back in '93. I was writing it as a full feature for Danny Trejo -- right around that time I had cast him in Desperado and I remember thinking, "Wow, this guy should have his own series of Mexican exploitation movies like Charles Bronson or like Jean Claude Van Damme." So I wrote him this idea of a federale from Mexico who gets hired to do hatchet jobs in the U.S. I had heard sometimes FBI or DEA have a really tough job that they don't want to get their own agents killed on, they'll hire an agent from Mexico to come do the job for $25,000. I thought, "That's Machete. He would come and do a really dangerous job for a lot of money to him but for everyone else over here it's peanuts." But I never got around to making it.
