I truly love simply movies like this that show the power and elegance of mathematics. Math isn't scary or dreary, but it's taught that way, which is just too bad.
Or rather, the way it's taught requires that the students to find its beauty for themselves when most people aren't in a situation to do so.

They teach math as a series of formulas and don't explain how or why you would use them. It wasn't until calculus 3 that they even began showing us why we learned all that stuff to begin with. Sad really. Had they shown this film and others to most of the students the finishing class might have been more than 15 students.

yea. the math i took in college would have benefited from a nice video like this. or a professor that spoke english.
math may be a universal language but i wouldn't recommend an immersion course...
