Bill Clinton On MoveOn
Bill Clinton exposes the hypocrisy behind the Republican attacks on MoveOn.org.

Re: Bill Clinton On MoveOn
I'm yet to disagree with any point Bill Clinton has brought up. Possibly ever.

Stupid term limits... Can we have him back in office just one more time? Please?

Bill Clinton On MoveOn
Gimme a freakin' break. Bill Clinton pointing out the dishonesty of other politicians is like a pig claiming a roach is dirty.

Don't get me wrong, I like Bill and I'd take him back over another NeoCon anytime (Sh!#, I'd rather have a piece of lint running the country). However, the fact is that the man was caught red handed in a lie to the American people. Sure, he shouldn't have been pressed to answer about his personal sex life...but he made the call to tell a blatant lie. For that, he lost the right to look down his nose.

Nevertheless, I do agree with what Bill says. He may be a liar but his comment was still accurate.

About the GOP reaction to the MoveOn ad:

It's a free country and everyone has the right to make a comment on the direction it is going.

I, personally, don't know what to make of the current war situation. I wish we could make that region stable; I wish we could fix the problems that were there before we got there; I wish we had not made such a mess of the invasion/liberation; I wish we had a better discussion about everything before going in; I wish we weren't becoming a nation of retards who behave like sports team fanboys when it comes to political issues; I wish we could hold politicians accountable; I wish we could all just stfu and listen and reflect and makes better judgments; I wish most people could think more objectively, and as individuals; I wish....I wish...

re: Clinton lying (I have no issues with anything else you posted)

Dude, the man got a BJ and lied about it in front of the entire nation. If you were in his position, wouldn't you? I think 98% of people would have done the exact same thing.

Re: Bill Clinton On MoveOn
He lied....at his sexual harrassment trial. Bill did a lot of good things with the economy, and was overall a good president. hat he did to the image of the office though was garbage.

The Dems are better at smear than the GOP since they have the media in their back pockets. This is just further proof of that.

He did a lot of good things with the economy? Keep in mind, it's the Congress that has greater influence over the economy. After all, they write the spending bills.

It took fiscal discipline, enforced by a Republican majority, to boost the economy.

Also, the explosion of computer technology and the internet would have made for a good economy if Homer Simpson were President.

Re: Bill Clinton On MoveOn
You make an excellent point. I think some attitudes about sexual discourse are way...way too unrealistic and/or ridiculous. Absolutely, a persons sexual life should be no business and no concern to others. Sure, it can be amusing...titillating or...even repulsive to know some details about some folks(can u believe what PRESIDENT Bill was banging? Bow-wow) but that is beside the point. What gets me about a president lying like that has more to do with the effects the aftermath a lie like that has. Bill looked us in the eye, pointed his finger and told a blatant lie. You and I don't give a crap that he was just doing what any healthy male with that kind of power and stress would do. Yet, some Americans do find such behavior to be deplorable. Though I don't think they have much reason to, their opinion should be respected to when it reasonable.

Call me old fashioned but I think a strong leader should set an example to our present &r future generations by respecting a certain level of integrity. I don't care if he bangs other women openly (cld u blame him). Just don't lie about it. Save the lying for crap people never call you on, like...reasons for going to war or leaking info to the press.

So, ya...I'd have no real beef with Mr Bill if he had came clean and said, "Hello America, I like ugly chicks. I'm really horny all the time and just don't care what they look like. LOOK I have a hard job here. I'm helping to keep the country moving along...and working hard to you all happy... my backers even happier...and my wife from making me the brunt of the locker room jokes. Shi!t can really suck sometimes....so sometimes I need to get su...".

Bill should have come clean and faced the music with the conservative backlash. It would have sucked but he would have retained/gained a certain level of authenticity and moral fiber.

He is not running a business, he is running a country and (IMHO) a collective ideal.

Ok...I stfu now.

btw Did I offer some insight into my view or did I just talk in circles? I don't know. The second beer is really making me light headed. So...uh...Sorry if the later is the case.

Yes, yes... Bill lied. And poorly, at that. I agree with dakz224 that most of us would have had a tough time owning up to such an embarrassing mistake. But his lie didn't get anyone killed. Or even hurt anyone, for that matter. It's when people's lies kill the soldiers I worked with that I get pissed.

But his lie is besides the point, even if you're commenting on the hypocrisy at hand in this video. I think what he's talking about is frustration at the righteous indignation the GOP affects regarding a sophomoric prank. It's angering--to me, at least--because the GOP not only ignores their own actions in the past, but they go on to assume a holier-than-thou attitude when someone else does it.

Unless, of course, you count Vincent Foster, Ron Brown, and the thousands of soldiers who died serving in the military in such places as Kosovo and Somalia (and don't forget Clinton's military action against Iraq!).

You're... You're upset that liberals like Bill Clinton? That's like if I were surprised and upset to find out selfish assholes supported Dubya.

Re: Bill Clinton On MoveOn
I don't find anything inherently WRONG with what moveon.org did, other than if they received a discount from the NYT. Since there was no discount, there was no foul. I'm not saying I approve of what they said, but they certainly have the right to say it. MoveOn.org is my favourite liberal activist group. Mainly because they're so crazy!

Re: Bill Clinton On MoveOn
Yeah, remember when you used to be able to respect a President's intelligence?

Yeah, he was indiscreet with his sexual affairs, but the shame of the Monica Lewinsky scandal was equally shared between him and a congress that spent millions of dollars to call him on it (after failing to nail him on Whitewater).

He has nothing at stake now. He's right about the Republicans, and his comment about the Republican campaign against Cleland is spot-on -- it is absolutely disgraceful to compare a triple-amputee war veteran to Saddam or Osama.... and yet that's what they did, and Americans ate it up...

WBAHHAHAAHAH Max Cleland is a total sellout. He didn't get what he wanted and now he's whining. I'll be damned if he's a triple amputee or not. He's a jerk with no principles. I should know, he was once my representative.

Re: Bill Clinton On MoveOn
I have a few problems with Clinton's comparissions...

John Kerry and Max Cleland are politicians, where personal attacks are par for the course. David Petraus signed up for a job expecting different kind of attacks.

Kerry has REPEATEDLY attacked our soldiers (accusing them of war crimes, terrorism, calling them dumb)...yet Clinton whines when they attack back?!?

The Swift Boat Veterans for Truth gave plenty of factual information regarding Kerry...but the moveon.org ad was nothing more than a personal attack.

And for the record, Cleland did lose his limbs in Vietnam...but not in combat. He dropped a gernade on his way to a bar. Granted, I respect his service...but let's not pretend (like the media is oft wont to do) that he lost them in combat.

Democrats won't condemn moveon.org, yet they are wasting taxpayer dollars to condemn Rush Limbaugh over a TWO-WORD QUOTE, taken entirely out of context.

Fortunately, the military loves listening to Limbaugh and they will know better than to believe the liberal propaganda.

Just a little tip here... YNOT pay attention to something other than FoxNews Channel for your misinformation?

What factual information did the Swiftboat fucks provide? Can you share with us?

Re: Bill Clinton On MoveOn
Kerry's claim to have been in Cambodia on Christmas was revealed to be a lie, thanks to the Swift Vets.

Also, the fact that he received three purple hearts (SELF-AWARDED) for superficial wounds (3 'hearts and only one day of missed work). The guy spends 4 months in combat and heaps enough awards upon himself to get out of the service early...

Misinformation on my part, or just ignorance on yours? The latter, of course.
