Kucinich is a bit of a nutjob and a little too far to the left for my liking but he's got cojones and isn't afraid to display them on the House floor.

I voted for him in the 2000 primaries because I felt that he was the only one with cojones and was not afraid to speak his mind. This time around I am voting for Edwards because he is not too far to the left, but you have to admire Kucinich for taking on the Bush/Cheney administration, something that most politicians today do not have the backbone to do.

Kucinich's problem is one of image. He speaks the truth, but nobody wants to listen to him because of how he appears and how he speaks. Notice how they cut him off. He needs to be more forceful.

That's how it works on the floor. It's not a lack of force, it's respect for rules and procedures that makes him back down. Try switching the channel from MTV cribs every once and a while, and watch some C-SPAN.

Kurds have the right to do what they want with their oil, unless they choose to sell it to an American company.

Don't get so high-and-mighty, Poon. There are plenty of countries we're not helping in the world that we should be. If this war were about liberation, why not spread freedom to a few choice places in South America, Asia, or almost any African country. What's that? Not cost effective? Oh, I see. Yeah, war is a lot harder to pitch when no one stands to get rich.

Amazingly, Kurdistan is the only sector in Iraq that is doing just fine, and doesn't need our troops there. If the other two sectors got their act together like the kurds do, then we wouldn't need to stay there at all.
