Re: Stephen Colbert on the Simpsons
Ok the Stephen Colbert, Richard Dawkins,Pat Condell,Robot Chicken etc etc is getting a little old, Lets see some new content on M@C. I mean really the George Bush blooper reel is as flogged out as a gay man's bum at madi gras. Lets go the different stuff and leave the mainsteam gear to Ebaumsworld.

You seem to forget that this site is community lead. Meaning you can submit a link that you think others may enjoy and depending on how well links like that have been received in the past (and other factors such as "is it funny or interesting?" etc) it may get to be a head-line.

You want original content? Go find some and share it on here.

That's crap. The mods make the headlines. Unless its changed, but I've seen plenty of sub-par items (and ones actually voted as such) made headlines.

Re: Stephen Colbert on the Simpsons
For the record, I am not a moderator. Once was, won't ever be again by mutual agreement. That said, I've always thought that a good mixture of submissions by everyone is key. Yes, the old standbys are fun, and to me it's like a challenge to find episodes or songs that others may have missed. But fresh and new content is also a good choice to link to. Also, a variety of sources is best. I'm no gamer by a longshot but I like creative content and thus will often look (albeit somewhat casually) for online games to post.

While some crap does make the front page here (we all have our own opinions of what constitutes a good link), for the most part the best of the lot does show up there via the efforts of the sysadmins. I thought that being a mod was a thankless job and I can just imagine how they feel sometimes.

I felt as though I had to get all that off my chest after reading your observations. That's all. I didn't think you were being naive or anything and you'll please forgive me for my lengthy response.

I think in that interview, he bears a more than passing resemblance to Bob Saget. Is it just me?

Re: Stephen Colbert on the Simpsons
Brilliant. I think Colbert is one of the few comedians out there in the world that will never ever get old, by virtue of the fact that he can work with nearly anything. If the colbert report goes to pot, he can always go back to being Phil Ken Sebben and Reducto.

Fuck the simpsons. The movie was crap and everything's been pear shaped for the past five years.
