Silly MS-DOS 5 Promo Video. MS-DOS 5.0 was the first version available in a retail package. No PC should be without it.

Holy effing crap! MS has clearly had it's finger on the pulse of pop culture from the beginning. The cool factor is through the roof. Seriously, all I can say is wow.

Dude... I saw this ad in 1987 and let me tell you something... that's right, I am STILL running Ms D 5!
Seriously though, this was educational. I never knew Dos had GUI. I thought when it got a GUI it was called Windows. I had to read the entire DOS 4 manual because I typed "c:\del *.*" on my old man's computer. I thought I was in my own folder. Didn't realize I was in the root. Oops. Needless to say pops was pissed. Oh DOS 4 how I miss you.

It was the high caliber acting in this video that really sold me on this product. I'd give it 5 stars, but one of the models clearly doesn't know how to hold a floppy disk. Just loses credibility in an otherwise perfect marketing masterpiece.
