Re: Cats Learning to Swim
Why shouldn't cats swim? What, you expect them to sink like a stone? C'mon. But you notice in every segment how the cat is making a beeline for the edge of the pool with intent to get out?

Re: Cats Learning to Swim
Uhmm....almost all animals have a swimming instinct and can at least "doggie" paddle. It's nice thats she is worried about them falling in but she doesn't need to train them. Plus the chlorine might not be too good for them.

Re: Cats Learning to Swim
that's what i was thinking too. plus if the cats didn't have a problem swimming for the first time, why would she think they might have drowned if she hadn't "trained" them? hmm... seems pretty silly to me

Re: Cats Learning to Swim
This is moronic! Of course cats can swim! How can you not know that? Apparently the TV anchors and her cat club is just as stupid.
I'm sorry. I don't know why, but this pisses me off.

Re: Cats Learning to Swim
The anchors just want any story they can get. No news channel would put this on unless nothing was happening.
Also, I think cats can't hold their breathe underwater so I would not recomend doing this.

Re: Cats Learning to Swim
Well, exactly...how stupid to assume that any animal is going to just 'lay there & drown' if they happen to fall into one's pool.
As everyone has already pointed out...not very happy campers these felines.
We all know just what they're thinking...
'If I wanted to go for a swim, I would have just gone ahead & done so, silly bitch!'

Re: Cats Learning to Swim
I don't know... this cat looked kinda pissed. He just seemed to want to get to the edge of the pool and get out. Besides, if you're going to teach a cat something why not teach it not to claw the hell out of your arm. Now that would be impressive.
