The Real Rudy: Command Center
"It's just not possible."

That was the sentence we heard over and over from families who had firefighter sons, brothers, husbands and fathers killed on 9/11, from experts on emergency response, and from investigative journalists.

It was just not possible that Rudy could so distort what happened on 9/11 and his role on that terrible day.

Re: The Real Rudy: Command Center
A weak argument. No one could have forseen the events of the day, and the Center was placed there for very practical reasons. Once destroyed, he quickly created a new command center and his men saved hundreds.

Rudy is a loser, but pick a different angle.

Giuliani's office had a humidor for cigars and mementos from City Hall, including a fire horn, police hats and fire hats, as well as monogrammed towels in his bathroom. His suite was bulletproofed and he visited it often, even on weekends, bringing his girlfriend Judi Nathan there long before the relationship surfaced. He had his own elevator.

What does that have to do with anything? He was the Mayor of the foremost city in America. Why wouldn't he have those things? What are you trying to say?

Re: The Real Rudy: Command Center
This is a fatuous video and only serves as more ammo for the conspiracy twits. There is no sense in going back and blaming the incomptetence of others. The buck didn't stop with Rudy, all those city admin people are trying to do is shifting the flak away from themselves and onto the public punching bag.

Re: The Real Rudy: Command Center
what a bunch of horse shit propaganda fodder. Just look at the "Experts" they get to comment and pose like they know anything. First you have Glenn Corbett, an "Associate" professor of fire science for John Jay college. So you have an associate professor from some community college commenting on nothing that has to do with his so called expertise. Next is Jim Riches, "THE SON" of the Deputy Chief of NYFD, no a firefighter himself, and also far from having an unbiased opinion since his father died. Eileen Tallon who had a son that died in the rescue effort fot the FDNY, also not a credible expert. Finally, Jerry Haour. Jerry no longer held that position after 2000, so how would he know what happened that day. He wasn't in the know. How would he know if by that time Rudy did not have backup command centers and virtual command centers. It's all just a matter of he said she said. I will give him the directive that Matt Lower had with the statement of recommendation, but that is the only thing that has any credibility. Even so, who could have foretold of something so horrific. Also, unlike the comment of Andy Ansbro, another non expert, there would have been no difference in the death tole of the Firefighters, because they were doing exactly what ther were supposed to do, and they did it very well. The Mayor does not control the fire department, the chief of the fire department does. This video is total biased trash. Open your eyes people and don't always eat what the media feeds you without checking the ingredients first.

Re: The Real Rudy: Command Center
I don't like Guiliani - I think since 9/11 he has distorted things and tried to twist them to his advantage

I don't like Bush - I don't like most the people who have been in office the last 8 years

But...

It didn't matter who was in office - I truly believe with my heart of hearts that no one could have foreseen the horrible events of 9/11 and the more we sit around and continue to point fingers - the longer it will take us as a nation to heal
