Racist?? It's a cartoon based on the black cat superstition. Nothing racist about it. It was made in 1949 people, times were different.

Nah, it's nothing to do with the cartoon (although, knowing he's a bit racist does make you wonder about the title). A lot of cartoons back then were racist. But by today's standards, not so much, as long as they were introduced as adult cartoons. But Tex Avery was known to have rather negative feelings towards other races.

I think the only overt racist bit was the chinaman bit when the dog ran into the stove..but then it isn't really overt so I withdraw my comment.
