Tay Zonday performs the song, "Chocolate Rain", live on the Kimmel show.

His voice really is that low.

Re: Tay Zonday: Chocolate Rain, Live on Kimmel
no, you're not. You, me, most of the people in that audience, and if i had to wager a guess, almost everyone who has heard this song - realizes this is a 4 second song, stuck on repeat. this is crap.

THIS IS FAKE!

you can tell because he doesn't move away from the mic to breathe in.

What are you on about? You can HEAR him breathe. Your point would be valid if there was a breathing sound when he's clearly not breathing but that's not the case, open your eyes.

He looks well funny too, I'm not impressed.

nah i think they know who he is, they seemed pretty excited when they saw him on stage. it was pretty funny when they zoomed in on the baffled people in the audience tho

Re: Tay Zonday: Chocolate Rain, Live on Kimmel
it's beyond unimpressed. some of the audience looked confused, even disturbed. it's his voice, erect posture, unnaturally good complexion, lack of a blinking reflex, and murderous smile.

This is a perfect example also, of the older generation folk in the crowd not-at-ALL getting internet humor.

1) Tay rocks a helmet.

2) His eerie camera stare makes me feel funny.

3) Did they cut him off mid performance?

"3) Did they cut him off mid performance?"

No, I think it's more that the outro really doesn't have an ending....

Re: Tay Zonday: Chocolate Rain, Live on Kimmel
yeah i think they planned him to shorten the song since he only did 1 verse and 1 chorus [if u can call it a verse and chorus]... its not a very progressive song anyways

Re: Tay Zonday: Chocolate Rain, Live on Kimmel
I dunno. If his voice is natural, why does he constantly tuck his neck in like he's about to belch? I call shenanigans.

Re: Tay Zonday: Chocolate Rain, Live on Kimmel
Ditto.

His head movements do not seem very natural at all.

The music sounds kind of cheesy, like a tribute to late eighties/early nineties martial arts movie theme songs.

Re: Tay Zonday: Chocolate Rain, Live on Kimmel
His voice is totally fake. When there's about 47 seconds left his real voice starts to slip out. That's why his head is always pulled in like he's about to belch as one poster put it.

Re: Tay Zonday: Chocolate Rain, Live on Kimmel
Yes, he tries to correct himself and say "I did not." again in his low fake voice.

His voice is low and has this timbre, but it's not as low as he pretends it to be.

Re: Tay Zonday: Chocolate Rain, Live on Kimmel
haha yeah i just noticed that too. His voice actually sounds BETTER when it's just natural because his whole deep thing just sounds odd. You can even hear the audience giggle when he says uh huh cause it sounds so stupid.

Should someone tell him that we're laughing at him, or should we just let him continue?

Has anyone seen the Tay Zonday: Chocolate Rain ad? Is it real? We don't get US commercials in Canada so no one up here knows: http://youtube.com/watch?v=AXKhIFitfWs
