The presentation might be a little dated but what incredible content.

Interesting he mentions the political stuff about it. Jeff Skilling of Enron was into the "Selfish Gene," or so I heard, but he might not have gotten it as Dawkins intended, I guess.
While we're at it and on the cusp of a political/religious argument, I've noticed that Democrats tend to stand up for evolution being accepted and argue that economics be controlled to an extent, ensuring that the poor and disabled are given social services to aid them. Republicans have found support in the evangelical movement, and stand against evolution, while they argue that an economy that functions like evolution is the best economy. Of course, they also try to say that evolution would never work out for making the best organism. It only works for the economy :P.
I personally feel the government needs a slight hand in the economy because evolution is slow and strict. Those who are punished are punished hard. Endangered species go extinct as humans become more and more dominant, analogous to how in runaway capitalism, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. I could go into more detail, but I'll wait for a flame war.

I would pay for a LONG warning. It's 2AM, I wanted something short to watch, but now I want to watch it the way through because I'm captivated.

Mutual inevitable peace. I can dream about something so wonderful, but ultimately, I'm a pessimist. We haven't eliminated war in who-knows how many millenia. We're even further, if you consider peace to be more than simply an absence of fighting (I for one, do not consider subjugation to be peace).
I can appreciate what good has come of this phenomenon, but ultimately, I think it is our ability to populate that has guaranteed our species' survival, rather than our ability to work together.

They are not mutually exclusive. Our ability to work together has a favorable effect on our ability to populate.
