Cool little science project that shows how harmful smoking really is.
Filmed in one take and completely produced in under an hour. If you think the results are fake, go ahead and try it yourself.

Re: Ghetto Science: Smoking
I mean its a pretty cool video, but me and a buddy use to bow smoke through napkins when we were like 16.
and its slightly flawed. I dont feel like going into details but do this instead and then freak out.
Hold a napkin to your mouth inhale the cig through the napkin then look at the napkin. the tar stain will be way more significant and concentrated...

Re: Ghetto Science: Smoking
For the life of me, I will never understand why people choose to start smoking.

Re: Ghetto Science: Smoking
I'm a smoker and i think i started smoking because i used to be quite a bad stoner :( And smoking a doob just went hand in hand with a cigarette, but thats just me . I've stopped the stoner part, just need to kick the smoking. Which is really difficult :'(

Re: Ghetto Science: Smoking
Ahem as a non smoker (last fag 4 weeks ago) I have to say that tissue looks good enough to smoke. Ok I'm kidding.. getting to the crux of my matter I could say the same about alcohol..
Re: Ghetto Science: Smoking
Tissue will catch particulates far better than human lungs.
You can do the same thing with car exhaust and we breath more of that every day.

Re: Ghetto Science: Smoking
But why did it come out clear when inhaled?! And nobody takes drags from tailpipes.

Re: Ghetto Science: Smoking
You just proved my point. Smoke came out clear when exhaled into the tissue. Smoke does not come out clear when exhaled from your lungs.
I know nobody smokes tail. (well maybe some) Point is that you still breath it when your on the road. Having lived in Los Angeles myself, I can say that I get more harm from sitting in traffic then I do smelling second hand smoke. But what I was trying to say is that the same process can be used in the filtering of smog.

More liberal tree hugging left wing propaganda. The Terrorists don't want you to smoke. They hate our, smoking, freedom.

Damn straight! It's just plain flat out ridiculous. What's next no beer?

Re: Ghetto Science: Smoking
There is a big flaw: You need to smoke to learn how bad smoking is by this method. I guess the solution for someone who isn't addicted is to find a smoker and have them perform the experiment.

Re: Ghetto Science: Smoking
in 21 years of life i have never smoked a cigarette, and for the sole reason that i see no benefit in it. i don't need to see how bad it is, but rather how un-good it is.

Re: Ghetto Science: Smoking
What about cigars? I smoke cigars know and then. I do not inhale them, I puff them (the right way to smoke cigars). I know cigars have much more tobacco and leaf then a cigerette does. Any feedbacki?
