Bill O'Reilly obviosuly does not read Daily Kos. All Congressman Conyers needs to start impeachment hearings are three more co-signers on Kucinich's impeachment bill. i had to stop it about 2 minutes in. a few years ago it was kind of amusing that Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf switched sides and turned into a cranky old white man. nows it's just plain painful to listen to.

Impeachment is like going to trial. If you impeach someone, you're charging them with an offense. Like Clinton, if George Bush/Dick Cheney were impeached, the people doing the impeaching would have to provide evidence and prove a crime was committed. I believe what Congress is saying by not going forward with an Impeachment hearing is that they do not have enough actual evidence to successfully Impeach Mr. Bush out of office. Unfortunately, despite what a lot of people think, there really isn't a lot of hard evidence that says that the Administration did in fact knowingly lie to the American public just to go to war. Plus knowing the result of the previous administrations impeachment, the Democratic congress isn't going to risk their credibility by going ahead with Impeachment if they don't have the evidence to back it up. My prediction would be that unless something comes out of the woodwork before 08, no Impeachment.

Back in the Clinton's presidency, congress attempted to impeach him on "abuse of power" charges (among others). The vote failed, but the fact remains that a president CAN be impeached for non-felony crimes. Abuse of power charge is a little fuzzy, but I think the Bush and his administration can very easily be charged with that.

I dont know who Bill o reilly is but I can assume he has some political bias.. What a joke!
