While the kittens and puppies we often see here are very cute, we need a greater variety. To me, guinea pigs are proof positive that Mother Nature has a sense of humor.

It depends. Some are noisy and others have more muted calls and whistles. I've had a few over the years, though one in particular wasn't a complainer, lasted me almost seven years, knew his name and would come when called. That's a rarity, as most of 'em are really pretty stupid.

We have two at home. They don't know what their names are, but they sure know when you're bringing food out. even though they run around the whole back yard all day long eating grass and my mom's vegetables, they hop back to their little house as soon as you open the back door holding some grass.

Awww that was actually kind of cute. I'm usually scared of those things. When I was in second grade my teacher had 2 and she would let them run around the class... nasty little things used to shit and piss on us.

Dont feel bad-- that is just a cultural thing. For a Guinea pig peeing on you is a sighn of affection, he marked you as a friend.

So in the guinea pig world it's like a bizarro human world where gingers are the dominant lifeform! I think no human gingers should be allowed to see this or we might find a world without cucumbers!
