Not Working?
Lewis Black would love to love to have the faith that the world was created in seven days, but... he has thoughts...

Bill Hicks: Revelations 1992
I'm not saying he's stealing, but he was definately inspired.

I love Bill, had plenty of his material kicking around the house in the 90's (when people werent borrowing them and never returning them)...but I think Lewis was probly a little more inspred by the Creationist - sorry Intelligent Design movement of late...they teach that bunk in some schools now...Penn and Teller had a fantastic Bullshit ep about it too...inspired by reality is more like it...or is that unreality...6 days 6 days...ugh...belief over knowledge leaves only so much material...

Re: Lewis Black: Fossils, The Devils Handywork
That is so true. Science keeps going forward, and we seem to learn about evolution at an exponential rate. But creationists keep on bringing up the same old arguments they've been using since the 1800's, occasionally throwing in a modern science fact out of context, renaming their case every so often. Thus, expect more of this type of routine in the year 2089!

Bill hicks. meh, black runs rings around him . Everyone thinks same subject, they ripped them off. No imagination, or there are no original topics anymore. Look at the rash of Movie adaptations, (either sequels, and/or again adaptations.) Pretty scary.. Anyways Ilke it.

A little off topic here, but these christians shouldn't be using FOSSIL fuels, as we know coal oil and gas come from fossils buried for millions of years under tremendous pressure. Should we take away their cars, should we forbid them to take a plane or a boat ? should they walk every where ?

Re: Lewis Black: Fossils, The Devils Handywork
They should not used fossil fuels. Fossils are the devil's work and they are driving off the devil's power!
Re: Lewis Black: Fossils, The Devils Handywork
There's actually a theory pretty popular in their circles claiming that petroleum and coal come from inorganic sources and has always been contained under the surface of the earth. Some people take this theory so seriously, they believe Exxon should drill lower than levels where life originally appeared. Here's an article about it: http://www.straightdope.com/columns/060512.html
