Re: Countdown: al Qaeda Reality Check
Is it criminal for the Executive Branch to mislead Americans to push his own neocon agenda? Not necessarily. But he's skirting all about the edges on this one. Certainly it's immoral, taking into account over $10 billion and the lives of over 100 US soldiers each month (this is excluding the over 1000 civilian contractors dead in Iraq thus far).

Re: Countdown: al Qaeda Reality Check
I heard McCain (speaking of neocons) on a sound byte on NPR today simply saying that "it is a great sacrifice that American soldiers are making with their lives. [For the fallen it is hard on their families but it is a neccessary sacrifice]" I want to live in an America where a political leader never callously speaks of people's lives as being necessary sacrifice unless the homeland was directly attacked. As in American soldiers dying on American soil for the sake of America. That is the ONLY time these words should ever be uttered. Its a sin otherwise.

it would be much easier to pay attention to this stuff if our sublimely educated journalists and analysts could make it through just one freakin' segment with a consistent pronunciation for the name of the country they're talking about.
Ear-rock. Say it with me Keith.
Not "Ear-rack, Eye-rock," or even "Eye-rack".
Ear-Ron doesn't have it any ease-ear.

Wow! I can’t believe he had a guest on that agrees with him. The best part of his show is the debate? Oh that’s right he never has a debate on his show because his logic is flawed on almost every topic and even a high school debate student would tear him apart in an open commentary.
He is really good at reading the teleprompter though:)
