Happy Days: Fonzie Jumps The Shark
On September 20, 1977, Arthur Fonzarelli put his iconic black leather jacket on over swim-trunks, went water skiing, jumped a shark, and effectively killed "Happy Days."

Oh, yeah, and he helped inspire the expression "jumping the shark" -- which became a metaphor for any moment something betrays its original identity or premise.

Re: Happy Days: Fonzie Jumps The Shark
No! Jumped the shark! The show had no merit after that point! Hence the "jump the shark" was made!

Am I talking to myself?
