Re: urban ninja getaway
Thanks a million for posting this. I had never heard of Parkour before but it's damn sweet to watch. I remember being amazed at the foot-chase in the start of the newest Bond movie, now I know where it comes from. Thanks dude!

Now there's a hardcore hobby that I'd love to get into. Cheapest extreme sport ever... well, until you get the hospital bill.

Not to mention the grocery bill that goes with training and maintaining a body like his.

Re: District B13: David Belle Case Scene
Talk about the most improbable chase ever. There is no way they'd be right on top of him after he swings around a building like that and zips in off a balcony, it would be a complete crapshoot on their part.

Is he running away from Jedi? he heads across the roof of several buildings and the guys are coming up the stairs of that building? Whatever.

Re: District B13: David Belle Case Scene
As much of a crapshoot as having skills like this and just by chance needing to use them in a getaway?

Re: District B13: David Belle Case Scene
This movie was proof that Americans don't hold the monopoly on action movies with completely ridiculous plots. It's worth watching for the stunts, and its context in French urban politics is interesting, but you have to forgive a lot of holes in the story.

Yeah man this film is great, I really recommend researching David Belle, he's an interesting guy ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Belle ). And I really really recommend starting Parkour, it's the most fun (and strenuous) outdoor activity I've done.

Totally. I've just started up a weightlifting routine to make sure I don't fuck up my body for life while doing parkour. Safety first, children.

That is so freaking cool that they have a site for this, wonder if I can find a Canadian version...

Re: District B13: David Belle Case Scene
Parkour is pointless, reckless and just plain stupid.
Just the possibility of these gonzo retards seriously injuring themselves on somebody else's property is remarkably selfish and self-centered.

For you to say that its obvious you have never tried it ;) Its actually a blast. Risky? Maybe but part of parkour is staying within your limits. People dont start their first day by jumping buildings.

Re: District B13: David Belle Case Scene
Yeah... stay in your homes people, stay within norms, do what others do, do not DARE do something original or reckless.
Get over yourself.
These are people doing something physical (an increasinly rare passtime these days), beautiful to watch, skillful and something that when done right doesn't hurt anyone.
Really, have another think about where your anger comes from over this.
