It isn't "somehow." You know why. You're glad he didn't just let O'Reilly do whatever the hell he wants with news, to continue in an impertient and counterproductive vein. You're glad he took O'Reilly to the inside of his pants and back, and that O'Reilly just kept looking like more and more of an ethnocentric jerk with an agenda to give to whatever impressionable sap watches this crap during the daytime. Fuck yes. Fuck yeah Geraldo. But I'll still at laugh at impersonations of him on SNL.

Being Australian I know very little of Geraldo, but man, that was great. He was SO RIGHT and Bill was so wrong there.
I applaud Geraldo for that, but you KNOW that the rednecks just don't get it... they go 'Hwa Hwa, a dang ulegal alun did kill a girl, fuck them alegal aliuns, fuck em good'
They don't understand cause and effect, they don't GET how there is no relation here between his citizen status and the drink driving... it truly is a case of singling it out and skewing reporting. I'm sure that happens ALL THE TIME on us tv in regards to black people too.

Geraldo doens't have a great reputation here in the states either. Here's a quote from wikipedia:
