really, I think it only proves that this version sucks. Don't get me wrong, the original blows also, but this did not make me laugh, stand in awe, or even care a little.

I really dislike the Black Eyed Peas, and I only like Alanis a little bit more, but this was really working for me. I think it's great that she can both expose the song for the crap it is, and manage to parody herself at the same time! I think my biggest problem with her is all of the people I knew in college who thought she was God or something (Thanks for nothing, Kevin Smith!). It's good to see that she can laugh at herself.

If there's a song in more need of parodies, I don't know it yet. Every musician in the world should make a parody of this song until the Black Eyed Peas publically apologize for it, and then publically kick Fergie into a well and seal it up.
Then they can start on the new Gwen Stephani songs.

On a personal note about this song when the Black Eyed Peas first broke through a couple years ago they played a festival here in Scotland.
Fergie came on stage during My Humps, forgot the words and resorted to jumping around shouting 'come on Scotland!'

This isn't rap. The original isn't rap. The original would better be classed as pop, and poor pop at that. Be sure that you know what you're pigeon holing.

haha the level of mockery is amazing. Anyone who knows Alanis' music knows that she's not only making fun of Fergie but is making fun of herself at the same time, and any artist who can do that should get props. Compared to the crazies in the public eye right now who can't admit they're career is done.
