Doesn't really seem to help me much. What does though is knowing that one single vertebrae of one of these animals is larger than the torso of an adult man.
A slightly smaller whale is the sperm whale, which is the only one I could find a good picture of. This is the size of one vertebrae:

No? The idea is that what you see is a 1:1 real life sized image of the whale. Though different screen DPI settings will not make it that exact.

yeah imagine displaying it on like a cell phone.... vs lets say a 60 inch plasma hooked to the net...... something tells me there would be a small difference
