Fahrenheit 451
Based on the 1951 Ray Bradbury novel of the same name.

RT 1:50:43.

Guy Montag is a firefighter who lives in a lonely, isolated society where books have been outlawed by a government fearing an independent-thinking public.

It is the duty of firefighters to burn any books on sight, or said collections that have been reported by informants.

Re: Fahrenheit 451
I think that using the PC term "firefighter" kind of ruins the play on the term "fireman." After all, a firefighter would fight against fires...

No Mechanical Hound? Maybe the director thought Orwell was being too paranoid and scare mongering in the original text?

Re: Fahrenheit 451
ya they should do a remake now that you can do more. cuz in the book they burned buildings and it was scary and exciting. the opening scene of gathering the books was the gayest most dragged out sequence ever. i'm sure it was appropriate for the time, but they could do it up like in Equilibrium.
