eh it was ok. I think i was expecting more, but to me basically it was just an old guy singing a song...

Wow! I wonder how many times this song has been sung before? Perhaps the performance enthusiasm should relay a clue to the answer?

MORE! Man, they should have given them time to play at least three songs. Each of these three are excellent musicians, and any time I hear or see Stewart Copeland play drums is a real treat.

They still sound damn awesome, of course Sting has never stopped playing, and he's the only one of the three that doesn't look like an old man. He still looks and sounds great.

I'd rather listen to someone running their fingernails down a chalkboard.

They do look old, (except Sting, who has Dick Clark youth-syndrome) but they still sound pretty good. I have to say though, I do like Stings solo stuff from the post-Police years more. Hopefully if they're truly sticking together again they'll come up with some new material.

too bad he can't hit the real high notes, but he still sounds awesome considering how long he's been singing. give the man some slack, most singers who've been singing as long as he has really suck, but this man is damn impressive.

Re: Police: Roxanne, Live at the Grammies
There's a reason we've been told growing up that if we can't say something nice we shouldn't say anything at all. No one cares, that's why. Thanks for sharing, really, but no one here who likes the Police is suddenly going to stop liking them. It's just a preference, not worth stirring up the negative energy it takes to say "they suck." "Arg, the Police suck now and they sucked 30 years ago. Grumble, grumble." What a waste of time. I hope by wasting my time pointing out how trivial negative criticism is that I've inspired at least one person to reserve their own pertaining to anything in the future. Movie critics, literary critics, and even scholars sound like haughty bitches when they criticize anything.
Take it from your mother: if you can't say anything nice (constructive), don't say anything at all.

The Police were a groundbreaking band. Just great. Sting by himself is mostly lounge music.

I liked that performance. I don't see what everyone is fussing about. I don't think that I would ever watch the grammys. It's a preference.
