Hey, I saw this three days ago and would have submitted it except that it's a movie trailer.

None of the John Williams score is used. I wonder if it hadn't been written yet.

Yeah, it really didn't feel like Star Wars at all without that score. In fact, this trailer really makes the movie look terribly uninteresting. If I hadn't seen Star Wars before, I think this trailer would make me want to avoid it.
Very cool find though.

Re: Original 1976 Star Wars Trailer
I have to disagree. I think the starkness and simplicity of this score was very appealing. Very simplistic and understated. Gave the film a kind of an eerie vacant feel. It'd be interesting to see Star Wars without the original score. That music has become such a big part of culture that looking back its not hard to say that the music carried a lot of the action in the early movies. It made a lot of the moments. I just think it'd be interesting to see it without. I love music but sometimes we don't need to hear it everywhere... oh wait that's off topic.

WOW, i cant wait to see this movie!
LOL look folks, its obviously dated cinematography, but it has the subtlety of an enormous tsunami. it looks real good. so much so that i want to watch this movie AGAIN for the umpteenth time.
i recall like it was back in the 1900s--- when i was 6 years old and i actually had to sit on my fathers lap to see this movie and i remember just how freakin scared i was of DARTH VADER. how cool!
