Re: Anthony Jeselnik: Dane Cook Impression
I didn't know about this Dane Cook guy before I saw this satire. Watched some clips of Dane Cook on YouTube after that, and yeah, this guy deserves to be made fun of.
He's the unfunniest american stand-up comedian I've seen so far... there are probably worse, but given his "stardom" among young dimwits, it's quite extraordinary to watch his "show", hearing the crowd cheer at the stupidest lines... for example if he says "fuck". Saying "fuck" is not funny, saying "fuck" as the punchline is amazingly inane entertainment.
Anthony Jeselnik hit the spot. Cook's sketches have no punchlines at all.

To understand Dane Cook's hugeness without resenting him you really have to see him earlier in his carreer, before he grew a loyal fan base that knows pretty much all the inside jokes and ususally where he's going with jokes.
Listen to his previous cd, retaliation. If you still resent his fame after that, hes simply not your cup of tea and I hope you're covered in spaghetti someday.

Re: Anthony Jeselnik: Dane Cook Impression
Used to listen to his stuff on internet radio well before he got famous and that stuff had me in stitches every time. Strangly I find most comedy that people do enjoy to be predictable and childish. I liked that he was doing comedy in a different way. Really trying to get the audience inside his head. I haven't really paid attention to him since those days though, so maybe fame changed him.
