The film is actually a love story. If you can't see past the glitz, the drugs, the guns and the swearing, then you just missed out on an American classic.
Brian DePalma, Oliver Stone & Martin Scorsese all had a great hand in creating it. Of course, I've got two copies of it on DVD and might have seen it more than once.

Usually, there is a theme to every film you see a motto if you will. Often, this motto is spoken within the film by one of it's characters. In the case of Scarface, Tony Montana (Al Pacino) lays out the film in one statement: "In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women."
