Exactly. The whole bunch of them couldn't find actual jobs because of a lack of talent and skill, so they start making money by hurting themselves.

And remember, they wouldn't be doing it and getting paid obscene amounts of money for it if people didn't eat it up. Does this speak more about their character, or the viewing audience's?

Lack of talent? Doubt it. His shows are hilarious and he entertains millions of people by performing dangerous and stupid stunts. His "lack of talent" has earned him millions of dollars and made him famous.

No I'm not. Very easy to tell the difference. Steve-o is in jackass and wildboyz. Steve Urwin is Australian. Steve Urwin is not a "god" just because he died in a freak accident. I'm sick of people acting like he was great. You didn't care for him much before he died why do you think he is awesome after he died.
Steve-o has done stunts just as dangerous as Urwins. And he has managed to make the dangerous stunts funny which is one more that Urwin has done.

Most people begin to understand the difference between "stupid" and "courageous" by the time they're... oh, I dunno. Ten years old at the most, I guess. Of course, usually the people who don't are weeded out when their friends tell them that it takes balls to play in traffic.

He might be. But our society seems to like it. We glorify him and his kind. People show him they like it and support him, in my book, Thats success.
He has women, money, a good home. And all he has to do is put himself in very dangerous situations. ... Going to War for your country isnt as profitable and wont leave you with as much good in your life.
whatever you might say about Steve-o, He has achieved success. He found a niche that pays good and he is capable of. I congratulate him on his success.
I only wish my life was a quarter as successful as his.

I wouldn't presume to know anything about his private life, such as his character or mental capacities. The man's an entertainer with a very unsubtle brand of contrived slapstick that seems to fit the taste of the public at this time. If people choose to spend their free time watching him, fine. I personally regret having even watched this.
