This is a pretty good story, an tall that you can view on your computer, as long as it connected to a vast network of computers reaching as far away as a remote intranet located somewhere... in The Twilight Zone.

What a great story! Imagine a world where stories like the one you've just watched aren't common place; television programs become bland and droll: full of mind-numbing commercials and formulaic plots w/ recycled situations and watered down characters. Sound familiar? Perhaps that world you've just imagined is... THE TWILIGHT ZONE!

I wonder if this story was the inspiration for that 80's hit movie, "Mannequin"? That movie had no effect on me except to maybe hope for dry humping a Mannequin - uh, it was the 80's: I was young. Err... Needless to say, it'll be interesting to walk through department stores and wonder about the mannequins now.
I liked the way the story was structured. I liked how she went to this vacant floor where only one thing was sold. A golden thimble. A symbol of domesticity. But it was flawed, just like her situation. An empty floor for the vacant and empty shopper. Great symbolism. A real head trip.
