Those of us Baby Boomers who remember "Health" classes and the instructions on how to survive a nu-ku-lar bomb have no problem placing this emotive clip in its context. The sad thing today is that kids have seen terror in the States whereas the evil empire of the USSR was something nebulous and vaguely threatening. Somehow mutually assured destruction is less lethal, knowing the consequences, than a nutjob with some explosives and a purpose.
