This and "Frankenweenie" were the shorts that got him canned from Disney for being 'too dark'. Now he's directing the new 3-D "Alice in Wonderland" for them, starring his usual cadre of friends (Depp, Carter). I bet he laughed his ass all the way to the bank when they asked... Talk about vindication?
