OnlineAllTheTime (or shall I call you Leigion, as you seem to be one who is many): As much as I think you and your Red Bucket is is mostly only fit for vomiting inside of, I so agree with you that this kind of humor has passed ridiculous and is now played out like length of shitty rope.
Lets break this down. It is a parody of a song made 41 years ago (it takes 'deep' creative thinking to mine THAT particular gem again), and actually endorses another action of war, through its thoughtless attempt at levity. And all this under the guise of opposition to war, which pretty much warps and ends my mind. Like propaganda placed in a mirror maze.
I mean, if you took off the first 20 seconds of this video, erased the N in Iran, and replaced it with a Q, you could pretty much just burn this sucker to DVD, send it back in time 4 years and it would never be discovered as from the future. Then or now, it still wasnt funny the first 3 giganumber of times it was done, except for JibJab, who made one or two good ones in the Kerry campaign days, then promptly learned to suck just as bad.
Golly, listen to me go on. Maybe they should write a Barbara Ann song parody about ME!:

When I say this endorses war, I mean it does so by allowing those people who would walk around whistling 'bomb-bomb-bomb-iran' all day because they think it is a good idea, to feel like they have some support, and that it can be taken lightly, because this animation and the nebulous messge behind it does just that. This could just as easily find a viewership among gun toting maniacs, as it could among soy based product huffing hippies. At the very least it seems exploitative to me, no matter how you intended it.
Also, never expect me (or anyone) to do research on crap unless it is original, interesting crap, which this is not. And oh yeah, the name of your website, even if you intend it as parody, even if you mean the exact opposite, endorses war in an even less roundabout way.
You are arming the very people you intend to fight, with words and ideas that stand for the exact opposite of what you intend, and that, my friend, makes YOU the imbecile.

I have a cassette tape from 1979 w/this same parody (well, the "Barbara Ann" song and the "Bomb Iran" refrain), but that particular version was produced during the hostage takeover @ the American Embassy.
It just goes to show we've had issues w/this country in the past and have responded to it w/the same irritating Beach Boys tune. We can stop now.
