Rube Goldberg: Def Lauf Der Dinge
A German Rube Goldberg type device spanning half an hour in it's operation.
Some parts are kinda slow, but it has liquid nitrogen, fire, and acid in several parts!

This was great! For some of the 'liquids' they used, I would of maybe appreciated some onscreen information about what they were, but not knowing didnt detract. Awesome find!
Re: Rube Goldberg: Def Lauf Der Dinge
Agreed. I want to know what the flaming goop was and the stuff the spinning firework fell in. I thought the second one was LN2, but that would put out the fire, right?

Cool, definitely, but not entirely honest. Periodically the camera zooms in on something like a spinning plastic bag or a tray full of liquid, and you can tell that the shot is interrupted. In other words, the contraption was filmed in pieces, so that mistakes can be redone. Still, I like the German aesthetic of heavy hardware and chemistry, versus the earlier Japanese contraptions of marbles... versus the original Rube Goldberg contraptions of hot irons, birds in nests, steaming kettles, and such.
