yea im a big family guy fan, but this is an AWESOME parody.
is it me or are the cutaways in the latter seasons getitng less and less...subtle? I mean mcfarlane is going insane with those cutaways. What was great about the earlier episodes of family were the subtle references
and i read in an interview in SPIN mag (i think...) that trey and matt absolutely hate family guy and get insulted when people say the show second to south park is family guy.

Family Guy is far superior and thats not just the fact that it has more views and is more popular. It takes a lot of skill writing clever jokes as on Family Guy. I have watched both of them from their start, so I am pretty unbiased as to my own opinion. But from what I have seen Family Guy relies less on plot senerios and more on pure clever humor which is what its all about. Sure on South Park they all get sent to Afganistan, which is funny, but Family Guy doesn't need that.

Seriously, what you have said is utterly backwards. You couldn't be more wrong. The truth is, it takes absolutely NO talent or witt to create gags that aren't inherent to the plot like family guy's.
Furthermore, family guy's jokes are in NO way clever, how is a ten-minute fight with a giant fucking chicken funny? Seth Mcfarlane is comedically inept (There's a reason family guy never made a counter parody against South Park, and that's because FG's writing staff lack the witt to do so)
I digress - to an end, South Park is vastly superior to family guy, but each to their own i guess, the creaters/staff of each show have made a shit load of money doing what they enjoy, if family guy wants to cater to pre-pubescent teens then that's fine, it's still success, per se.

I think you have your facts wrong buddy! Seth macfarlene is a genius, they are more than brilliant enough to counter what south park did. But its all in good humor. FG knows it and there is no point in retaliating cause then both shows will loose their point besides South Park can do whatever the fuck it wants because it's on cable. Family Guy has that potiental, but it will never be able to do that.And about "the jokes that have nothing to do with the plot", thats exactly the point of family guy. And that humour is just awesome. I personally have watched both shows right from the season 1 and i love them both. each has its own brand of humour. You cant really compare them. Just sit back and ENJOY . Cheers

They really had Family Guy's number on this one. I loved this episode. I was hoping they'd also throw in something about it being a blatant Simpsons rip-off too, but oh well.

Oh Man! I thought this episode was hallarious. I had no idea that the things that pick what the episodes were going to be those things. I usually can guess whats going to happen on those kind of shows.

Yeah, they nailed Seth McFarlane to the wall on this one. "South Park" is still edgier than "Family Guy" could ever hope to be.
Maybe it's because Seth McFarlane steals ideas from other shows and can't come up with his own. There are several comparison clips on YouTube showing how he outright stole ideas from "The Simpsons."

Seriously, Family Guy is weak. It doesn't compare to South Park. South Park is way better and much more original than Family Guy.
