I can imagine the writers from Letterman loved this concept because they had A LOT less to worry about when it came to what stuff was too risky to say, considering its coming from the mouth of a cartoon character who upon hearing that his wife is going to Purgatory with all the un-baptized babies said "You hear that Lois? You love kids."
