Some shots that didn't make the final cut in Star Wars IV, The New Hope.
Includes many actors who didn't make the cut, like Han Solo's girlfriend, played by Jenny Cresswell.

There are some long pauses between scenes.

wow, scenes that could have given stuff away and such. Like the cut out part where obi wan refers to Vader as his true identity during their fight in Episode 4.

I think it's safe to assume that thre could be spoilers in deleted scenes.

Re: Star Wars: Deleted Magic
Thats the downside of it. Lucas wanted to keep up the mystery and suspense. That moment when Luke was first told that Vader was his father in Episode 5 was a national wonder for fans. That really got peeps in line for the next one, where the answer would be revealed.

Re: Star Wars: Deleted Magic
One of the problems I had with the Star Wars movies was that I was never interested in Luke Skywalker. He was just kind of a boring guy who happen to have a cool weapon and I couldn't relate to him at all. The scene where he spots the battle and runs to the local hangout to tell his friends made him seem more realistic and sympathetic to me. I wonder why they decided to cut it out?

Mostly because it would be too hard to fit that scene in without a followup, and the followup he had planned would have changed the audience's opinion of Luke's Uncle too much. Strange, but eh, his choice. The scene I really wish he had left in was the first podrace in Episode 1, where Anakin crashes. it really set up the Tatooine characters better.

Another clip from over a year ago that made it to the home page.

This clip predates the spanish subtitle eliminator 3000 machine that is in use today.
