Oh, and politics, smoking, "Have a Nice Day"... and a few other items from that time period that most Americans are not particularly proud of.

I was just thinking about that today in the car. Would he have thrived amongst the horror? Would the intervening years have broken him or turned him into a Dennis Miller style hack? Either way, it is a pure-d god damned tragedy we never got to see for ourselves. In the end I would of put money on him changing the world (even more than he did).
