Alice Cooper is far more mainstream than you might think. He's a hard-core Republican, though I don't know if many GOP candidates would want his endorsement if he's all decked out.

Not Sesame Street. The Muppet Show. Was a pre-prime-time syndicated show 30 years ago.
For the record, I went to high school with someone who was a prominent member of the late Jim Henson's team. They performed a couple of 'behind the scenes' with the Muppets shows while I was enslaved in that institution of societal indoctrination. A very creative bunch.

The Muppets rock. I love how the show, and the movies, were able to transend generations and gain the appeal of a huge assortment of people.
Best of all, they're legitly funny, which is more than I can say for the current Sponge-Bobs and Rugrats of the world.

I miss the Muppet Show - they had such a variety of stars on it - maybe some day a cable channel will start running reruns of it again
