Re: U.N.K.L.E.: Eye For An Eye
this is obviously all about the "dark side" of humanity--COMMERCIALISM, CAPITALISM, "PAY TO PLAY-PAY TO LIVE"
but who are we paying???
(I THINK WE ALL KNOW WHO)

Isn't it obvious? it's a pre-emptive strike...
The yellow dudes are attacked by the violent wasp thingy's which turns them into violent beasts themselves.. and off they go to war...

No, its not. What does an "An eye for an eye" have to do with the story of the marshmallow people.
I like the vid dont get me wrong, but it has nothing to do with the title.
If the the "violent wasp thingy's" then attack the planes I could see it.
A better title would be "Smash The Trusting and Helpless"

I think a better title would be "don't suck on strange nipples."

Re: U.N.K.L.E.: Eye For An Eye
I don't see how this title would be better, was there any nipple sucking I missed?
Yeah, that "better title" made no sense at all.

i think the people got what they asked for. they didn't question how such bounty came about, or what the price might be for such riches.
rather than accept what they helped bring on themselves, they decided to go get the next easy target.

Re: U.N.K.L.E.: Eye For An Eye
the vid can give you an immage that the whole world is going evil. but you can also see the black flying thingeys (bugs i shall call them) killing the marshmallows because they are higher in the foodchain. and better evolved. only problem is that one day there won't be any more marshmallows (oh no!) or the fuelbill for the airplanes has gone up too high, so the bugs wont be able to afford any more trips, and starve. wouldnt that be a video, poor bugs. because it is verry possible that the human race will eventually destroy itself, and everything in its path. that i think is the real message from this video.
or ofcourse if you see the human beings as the marshmallowheads, wich some people are, "dont suck on strange nipples"

Re: U.N.K.L.E.: Eye For An Eye
We become the thralls of the providers of that which we consume without question. Media...commerce...idiology...blah blah.
Those who refuse the offering are skewered...by skeery bugs.
Anybody know where the narration is from?

Re: U.N.K.L.E.: Eye For An Eye
There are three separate 'narrations' that I can pick out. The only one I recognize is from Explosions in the Sky's "Have You Passed Through This Night?":
This great evil - where's it come from?
How'd it steal into the world?
What seed, what root did it grow from?
Who's doing this?
Who's killing us, robbing us of life and light, mocking us with the sight of what we mighta known?
Does our ruin benefit the earth, aid the grass to grow and the sun to shine?
Is this darkness in you, too?
Have you passed through this night?
That album was released pre-9/11, barely. Very good, by the way.

Thanks G-pa...that's what I was looking for...but looks like Explosions (and UNKLE too) got that voice over from the 1998 war film The Thin Red Line (aptly enough).
Good lead.
