I've gotta say, I was skeptical, but the sound really goes with it. 10

I saw the clip and passed on it since I didn't think it was M&C's style. OK...and personally I didn't like it. I also didn't like Gibson's original idea of sensationalizing the most celebrated execution of all time to fill his bank account. If karma has any say in the matter, Mel's coming back as a large turd in his next life.
Re: The Passion of the Benny Hill
Oh, that was to be expected. I knew immediately that there would be those that loved it and those that hated it. Prolly no middle ground on this one.
I haven't seen the film nor would I have any reason to. OTOH, Benny Hill was a comic genius and I don't think that this piece does him any justice. When BH was not pushing sexually demeaning material, he had some great political satire.

Re: The Passion of the Benny Hill
There was an odd bit at the end, when "Yakety Sax" (the Benny Hill theme) had ended, and we just see Mary Magdalene holding Jesus, that actually made me feel slightly guilty for enjoying the preceding part of the clip. There are evangelicals, like Reverend Jed and other campus ministries, that consciously try to bring out the worst in people. Their idea is that salvation is easier to see if you're far away from it. I wonder if the creator of this clip had the same idea.
Either that, or my sound got out of sync with my video.
