Hehe.. When the British won what's now called 'The Ashes', correct me if I'm wrong, against the Australians, we burnt the stumps in memory of the day that British cricket died (we hadn't been beaten before..)..
Now, we play a grand ol' competition to win them every year! Thing is, we can't beat the austrailians! It's all right though, because we keep the ashes in England anyway, even if they DO win!
