I think Buzz Aldrin has done some pretty good stuff in his day. But Ali G is really a mindless act. Just MHO, as they say.

I'm shocked that the two people who's opinions I generally agree with most on this site, are 'player hating' on Ali G. Sasha Baron Cohen is a comedy improv master IMO and I still get a huge kick out of watching him maneuver believably in stupidity. Granted, the english version is better than the HBO one, simply because the brits get flustered in much more humorous ways than the yanks, but his talent is still fully applicable on either side of the pond.
To each their own, I suppose. ;)

My husband constantly asks me to replay the Andy Rooney/Ali G clip for the same reason. He gets on the interviewee's nerves, and you're waiting for them to crack. Kinda like Columbo hounding his murder suspect until they break down, which happened w/Rooney.
