Amphibious vehicles have been around for decades. But when I saw how they linked these up to make an impromptu bridge, I was impressed.

Would have been great for WW2, but wars are going to be fought in deserts for the next 100 years.

Exactly what I was thinking.
The only reason the Germans would need this is if they were planning a campaign where they would be crossing a lot of rivers.
