Rachel Maddow points out that despite a new populist message and apparent wariness about being seen as the party of the rich, Republican governors Bobby Jindal and Sam Brownback are cutting income tax and raising sales tax, a combination that benefits the rich and punishes the poor.

Didn't have the interview with Krugman. I don't normally watch much of Maddow but I was flipping the channels.

This is what burns me up about this kind of post. I've seen twelve to fifteen minute long clips of prairie dogs living their day to day lives, but these clips that bash politics are usually about five minutes or so in length and seem to be very one sided bashing of one side or the other.
Why?
Why is so much energy spent on a system of beliefs that seems to constantly contradict itself? Both parties are always sour faced against each other. What is the point?
