Purple Heart's Final Beat
This story is far too true, and far too common. Soldiers returning from war, only to be oppressed by the same system they swore allegiance to protect. This film chronicles the last day in the life of one soldier - or many - as countless veterans every month end their lives in desperation.

Join the fight against the injustice visited, not just on veterans, but all capable parents robbed of their rights to see their children.

Suicide statistics gathered and verified by CBS.

All end statistics were verified and collected by a 20-year combat veteran sergeant in the US Army. Non-public records were used in the gathering of these statistics.

The federal government does not acknowledge the true numbers and its own statistics do not include Coast Guard, Reserve or National Guard. The public figure of 4.3% veteran divorce rate released is a cover up by the Pentagon. After all, if the standard rate for the population is 50%, how could there be such a drastic difference?

Choose your wife with care and your war even more carefully. Then again, I know shit. Never been married and I don't fight another man's war. The wife may have been a good choice, but the war, in my mind, not.

Re: Purple Heart's Final Beat
It's sad, but I can't help but detect a large bias here, where are the statistics on the state or their marriages before being shipped out? How many men refused treatment/therapy upon their return? If anything needs looking at it's the psychological damage being inflicted upon these men during war time.

The (financial) treatment of men (regarding their children) in court usually puts the women first, this is not news. So before you pull at my heartstrings, I want ALL the info and statistics.

***I just read this back and immediately don't feel good about it, while I maintain that the 'big picture' is always the way to go, the percentage of veterans ending themselves is just too damn high, and rather than delete the whole post, I'd rather share my minor Road to Damascus moment***

I agree with you, actually. This organization advocates for non-custodial parents. It has nothing to do with veterans specifically, so to me this film feels exploitative.
