I'm no tech geek, but this story is too riveting to pass up: a 13-yr-old launches a Denial of Service, and the grown-up fights back...

this is a fun read, if you're in to that sort of thing, but it's horribly horribly outdated. I kept expecting someone to take their phone reciever and set it on a modem box... :)

It may be outdated, but to someone like myself who knows nothing of the inner workings of hackery, this sounds like the secret workings of wintermute and the whole adventure of Snow Crash all rolled into one.

Of course, I have a mild headache from the jargon, but the story was nice!

The very ironic thing is that the "Script kiddie" that launched the attack is a script kiddie.
